It was founded in 1887.
By the years, Victoria Hospital has been enlarged and many pavilions have been added to the institution like the Allan Memorial Institute, Ross flag and the Women's Pavilion.
Today, the space occupied by the hospital is 10 times larger than when it was founded. The institution is now part of the MUHC (The McGill University Health Center).
Lately, the hospital has been criticized for illegal tree cutting on the Mont-Royal in order to build a parking.
See original plan and drawings for this building on Edwards Maxwell Archive on McGill website.
