      Frères des Écoles Chrétiennes

      The Frères des Écoles Chrétiennes AKA (The Brothers of the Christian Schools) arrived in Montreal in 1837. In addition to teaching in many schools, they published more than 280 textbooks. This organization was founded by Saint John Baptist de La Salle in France, near 1680.
