    Héritage Montréal, dedicated to the protection of Montreal heritage had placed the building in its category "emblematic endangered sites" for the year 2008.

    The famous Bens Deli restaurant is now closed. The Stream Line building was destroyed in November 2008 and an hotel will probably be built on this site.
