Saint-Laurent Boulevard

Boulevard Saint-Laurent: The Main, one of the oldest streets of Montreal. Boulevard Saint-Laurent is an integral part of Montreal city and many montrealers are ready to say that it is city's soul because this street is the most representative of all the difference of the city.

While the city of Montreal became industrialized, many immigrants from Europe came to settle in Montreal and very often they made id around this street full of opportunities. The street his almost a stratification (from south to north) of different communities, starting with the Chinese at the nineteenth century around Rue de la Gauchetière to the Italians of Little Italy around Mozart Street. The different cultures have always shaped and given its uniqueness.
