Golden Square Mile

Golden Square Mile is located between the block formed by Pine Av / René-Lévesque and Guy / Bleury Street. This area covers approximately a square mile and is the reason of district’ appellation.

At the beginning of XX century, this district was the richest in the whole Canada with famous Owner such as Rich self made Man from Scotland or senator and politicians.

Hard to believe because now this district is in Montreal downtown but this was the greenest places of the whole city with big trees and large boulevard.

Now most of remaining houses of this period where gifted to McGill College or occupied by chic boutiques.
